Across the nation, many children are scoring lower on reading proficiency tests than in year's past. Among other contributing factors, we know that many students, in under-resourced schools, just don't have enough books at home. By building personal libraries, we hope to create opportunities to develop reading skills at home.
The gift of a book also fosters an opportunity for children to explore and get to know the world around them. It's not only important that children have access to their own books, but it's equally important that children have books that feature diverse characters,

Make a donation to help bring resources to children in need. Far from the city of Accra, these children are part of a loving community that struggles with meeting the day-to-day needs of life. Education is critical but, in this community, things like a playground are considered a luxury. With your help, we are able to hep provide a fun and engaging learning environment.

Most people spend close to that amount on lunch and a cup or two of coffee in one day. Your gift of $20 goes toward helping a child receive books AND resources that help them learn and grow locally and abroad. The more contributors we have, the more children we can reach. Free To Be Uniquely Me! is about a child who learns to celebrate the personal qualities that make her unique and special. After taking her journey to acceptance, she shares her life lessons with her friends. She does this in the hopes that they, along with children worldwide, will each boldly declare that they are “free to be uniquely me.”
This colorful rhyming children’s book is a celebration of all things that make a person unique and special on the inside and out. It’s a great way to introduce discussions centered on social-emotional learning as well as diversity and inclusion.
